It is the Mac “dictionary” and on the info page it says “American Oxford dictionary. If you research further I believe you will find it is a scaled down version. Good luck!

Jaret, I am wondering if you would be so kind as to tell me in which dictionary you found this definition? I am writing a project about sensationalism, and I believe the Oxford English Dictionary used this definition, or so I wrote. However, the entry was updated in March and no longer reads as aforementioned. Did you use the OED? Thanks.

Sensationalism? Are you the voice of the Newfoundland government?

I find this quite amusing as we are in a situation where a deep well
has already caused a disaster with no fix in sight for two months.

Even a person like myself understands a situation like this is beyond
the relms of sensationalism. It is called preparation, diligence, and
necessary regulation to prevent this type of disaster in Newfoundland.

It case you are confused on you ride of ignorance, I am not against
offshore drilling in Newfoundland. Far from it. I am against
unnecessary disasters.

This is quite disconcerting. It puts the oil spill in a better perspective. Thank you for the image.
The environmental damage this will continue to cause over the next few years will have exponential economic reprocussions. Now that would also be a scary image to see.

I find your comment quite amusing as we are in a situation where a deep offshore oil well (in a fish rich region might I add) has already caused a major environmental disaster with no fix in near sight.

Even a person like myself understands a situation like this is beyond the realm of sensationalism. It is called preparation, diligence, and necessary regulation to prevent this type of disaster in Newfoundland or elsewhere. Furthermore, I have taken two accurate (non-sensationalized) factual sets of information, and mashed them together, to show what the current BP oil spill would look like in offshore oil rich Newfoundland. I will ask again, Sensationalism? It what way did I offer a scare tactic? Did I say it would happen?

It case you are confused on your ride of ignorance, I am not against offshore drilling in Newfoundland. Far from it. I am against unnecessary disasters, failure to plan, and put the necessary precautions in place. Newfoundland's fishery, ecosystem, and people simply cannot afford such a disaster.

I appreciate you commenting, however if you resort to such nonsensical language then expect to be called out on it.

The government is readily addressing all the related issues and is working on preventative measures.
